In this post I’m going to talk about money. How it is manipulated and how it affects our psychology and behavior. I’m going to start with how the banksters control the money supply and the economy. Then I’ll consider what Renee and Icke have said on this subject from a spiritual perspective.
Anotony Sutton
Decades ago I read one of the 29 books by Antony Sutton. Few people have done more to expose the secret history of the power elite than Antony C. Sutton who was a British-American economist, historian, professor, and writer. (February 14, 1925 – June 17, 2002)
Shortly after his death, Alan Stang wrote these words about him.
Even many well-informed people today don’t know who Tony Sutton was. That invisibility was a function of his integrity. At his death a couple of days ago, he would have been world famous had he not told the truth. I once accused Tony of being a vacuum cleaner, not a real human being. For instance, readers of Western Technology & Soviet Economic Development, his massive three-volume study of Soviet military capability, know it nailed down the fact that the Red Army was made here in the United States. Not only did Tony tell where the equipment came from; he also included charts that listed the serial numbers on the engines, the vessels they were shipped in and a mountain of other information you didn’t really need to know. Once, in his apartment in Cupertino, California, Tony showed me the boxes that contained his research for the study. I don’t know exactly how many there were, because, not being a math major, I couldn’t count that high.
In Sutton’s book, The Federal Reserve Conspiracy, he writes,
THE BANKERS’ BANK
Since 1913 politicians and media have treated the Federal
Reserve Bank as a kind of untouchable off limits semi-God…no
one except certified crackpots and kooks criticizes the Fed.
Conventional wisdom dictates that anyone who attacks the
Federal Reserve System is doomed and Congressional
investigation of the Fed would result in economic chaos and a
disastrous plunge in the stock market…
There is a vast misconception about the Fed. The President
and the Congress have very little, if any, influence on policy. The
Congress handed over all monetary powers to the Fed in 1913.
The Fed is a private bank, owned by banks, and pays dividends
on its shares owned only by banks. The Fed is a private Bankers’
Bank.
Yet Fed policy, not Government policy, is the dominant factor in
economic growth. The Fed can create jobs by loosening credit. The
Government talks a lot about creating jobs but in fact can only create
bureaucracies which restrict rather than promote enterprise. The private sector creates productive jobs and the private sector is heavily
dependent on Fed policy to do this.
The Congress has never investigated the Fed and is highly
unlikely to do so. No one sees Fed accounts; they are not audited. No
balance sheets are issued. No one, but no one, ever criticizes the Fed
and survives.
Why all the secrecy and caution? Simply because the Fed has a
legal monopoly of money granted by Congress in 1913 proceedings that were unconstitutional and fraudulent. Most of Congress had no idea of the contents of the Federal Reserve Bill signed by President Woodrow Wilson who was in debt to Wall Street.
The Federal Reserve has the power to create money. This money
is fiction, created out of nothing. This can be money in the form of
created credit through the discount window at which other banks
borrow at the discount rate of interest or it can be notes printed by the Treasury and sold to the Fed and paid for by Fed-created funds
In brief, this private group of bankers has a money machine
monopoly. This monopoly is uncontrolled by anyone and is guaranteed
profit. Further, the monopoly doesn’t have to answer questions or
produce books or file annual statements. It is an unrestricted money monopoly.

Did you notice the name “Gates” in the list of Notable Bones Families? Below Sutton describes the basic control device for controlling science, education, and politics. And all this is possible because Skull and Bones members have the money to finance these programs. These excerpts reveal how the billionaires control science, education and history.
Right and Left – A Control Device
For Hegelians, the State is almighty, and seen as “the march of God on earth.” Indeed, a State religion. Progress in the Hegelian State is through contrived conflict: the clash of opposites makes for progress. If you can control the opposites, you dominate the nature of the outcome.We trace the extraordinary Skull and Bones influence in a major Hegelian conflict: Naziism vs.Communism. Skull and Bones members were in the dominant decision-making positions – Bush, Harriman, Stimson, Lovett, and so on – all Bonesmen, and instrumental in guiding the conflict through use of “right” and “left.” They financed and encouraged the growths of both philosophies and controlled the outcome to a significant extent. This was aided by the “reductionist” division in science, the opposite of historical “wholeness.” By dividing science and learning into narrower and narrower segments, it became easier to control the whole through the parts.
In education, the Dewey system was initiated and promoted by Skull and Bones members. Dewey was an ardent statist, and a believer in the Hegelian idea that the child exists to be trained to serve the State. This requires suppression of individualist tendencies and a careful spoon-feeding of approved knowledge. This “dumbing down” of American education is not easily apparent unless you have studied in both foreign and domestic U.S. universities – then the contrast becomes crystal clear.
This dumbing down is now receiving attention. Two excellent books are The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America, by Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt (Conscience Press, Revenna Ohio, 2001), and The Dumbing Down of America, by John Taylor Gotta. Both books trace this process to the impact of education, and both give remarkable detail of the process. We go further, in that we trace the import of the system to three Yalies – members of Skull & Bones.
For Iserbyt, in The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America, the American education system begins with Rockefeller and Gates. But in fact, this statist system is a reflection of the Hegelian ideas brought to the United States by the Skull and Bones “troika” of Gilman, White and Dwight, and then financed by Rockefeller.
The Official Establishment History
There is an Establishment history, an official history, which dominates history textbooks, trade publishing, the media and library shelves. The official line always assumes that events such as wars, revolutions, scandals, assassinations, are more or less random unconnected events. By definition events can NEVER be the result of a conspiracy, they can never result from premeditated planned group action. An excellent example is the Kennedy assassination when, within 9 hours of the Dallas tragedy, TV networks announced the shooting was NOT a conspiracy, regardless of the fact that a negative proposition can never be proven, and that the investigation had barely begun. Woe betide any book or author that falls outside the official guidelines. Foundation support is not there. Publishers get cold feet. Distribution is hit and miss, or non-existent. Just to ensure the official line dominates, in 1946 the Rockefeller Foundation allotted $139,000 for an official history of World War Two. This to avoid a repeat of debunking history books which embarrassed the Establishment after World War One. The reader will be interested to know that The Order we are about to investigate had great foresight, back in the 1880s, to create both the American Historical Association and the American Economic Association (most economists were then more historians than analysts) under their terms, with their people and their objectives. Andrew Dickson White was a member of The Order and the first President of the American Historical Association.
But why do the black hats who care about no one except themselves, their own families and fellow conspirators have so much money and you and I and others who would like to create a world where there is enough for everyone have so little? Is it only the immense greed and total lack of ethics that has enabled these few families to become the super rich? POVERTY CONSCIOUSNESS
It is vital to have a basic understanding of how the monetary system has been designed on the earth to work as an enslavement tool that traps people in materialism, consumerism and Poverty Consciousness. The system of debt based currency used as the current global monetary system was originally brought to the earth by the Alpha Draconis Orion Group. These entities have organized themselves on the earth in what is called the Black Sun Agenda. The Draco Reptilians of the Orion Group view themselves as the most intelligent species in the Universe and believe that earth humans have descended from their biological seeding processes, from multiple planets they have conquered. Therefore they believe humans, as well as the earth, are their personal property and have instituted the global slavery system via the indoctrination of debt-based currency. One should be aware that on many other planets, monetary systems do not exist, and all inhabitants born onto the planet are considered free citizens with equal rights to flourish in the global society that is organized by that planet’s system of government. A planetary system ruled by debt currency in which one has to pay for their basic shelter, food and healthcare from birth is considered a prison planet. Therefore, when a person does not have an accurate context for how money, currency and economies really work and why they were set up, they are not able to discern the many consciousness traps that are set for the common people. Poverty Consciousness is directly connected to the social engineering of a slave race. It is important to understand that poverty consciousness is unnatural to the human race and was specifically designed to conquer the minds of humanity, to accept world slavery and world war.
Therefore, when a person does not have an accurate context for how money, currency and economies really work and why they were set up, they are not able to discern the many consciousness traps that are set for the common people. For the Orion Group to institute an effective human slavery system, in which they would remain hidden at the top of the pyramid scheme and have total control over the assets of earth, it required the majority of the masses be consumed by intense fears of survival, threats and poverty. They engineered Poverty Consciousness in such a way to victimize humans into class or cast systems, in order to make them more pliable and easy to manipulate in the consciousness pen they erected around the earth…
Triggering Fears of Insecurity, Threat and Helplessness
It is essential to know that by exploiting poverty consciousness mind control in order to manipulate materialism in people, this triggers deep fear based belief systems around personal security, safety and self-esteem. Many people on the earth feel terrorized by obsessive thoughts of poverty and homelessness, even when it has not happened to them in their lifetime. This memory may connect to other lifetimes, however, it directly connects to the collective unconscious memory of feeling defenseless to the full scale alien invasion that occurred in Sumeria and Egypt. As a result, many humans today have a pathological need to find some version of security and safety within materialism, so they can manage the feelings of unconscious personal terror that are a result of feeling completely helpless when in danger. As a result of the materialistic pathology towards feeling safe, when people become obsessed with materialistic validation for security, they also become increasingly narcissistic, spiritually disconnected and lose feelings of empathy. In the more materialistic societies such as the United States, people obsessively shop, buying an excessive amount of goods in order to increase their feelings of self-worth, or to distract themselves from facing unpleasant or challenging issues. Materialists tend to ignore the fact that the global consumerist economy is structured to exploit humanity and drain planetary resources for massive profit for a select few, while directly increasing the slavery, poverty and suffering in the human race.
Debt System of Enslavement
The primary motivation of the Controller’s is to use threats and fears of personal safety in order to trigger insecurity in the people, which is used as a major mind control and manipulation mechanism to incite rampant materialism. In order to continually spread poverty consciousness on the earth, the Orion Group introduced a debt system of currency that would equate monetary enslavement with consciousness enslavement. This ensured that the promotion of wars and human suffering would be converted into massive profits for those in the ruling classes. They needed the ruling classes to carry out their enslavement agenda and by rewarding them with massive financial and corporate monopolies, as well as access to unlimited cash reserves, the sellout of the human race was easily accomplished through human greed…
Poverty fears are ingrained deeply in the subconscious mind and they surface into the conscious mind as fear based thoughts and feelings about personal safety, that in turn manifest and multiply into even more poverty consciousness fears. Material poverty fears have been mentally programmed repeatedly into the unconscious mind of people since the alien invasion, and are consistently reinforced from childhood to adulthood throughout the working slave classes entangled in the Controller Pillars of Society. It becomes the manifested reality for those people no matter what kind of material resources they actually have access to. Many people in western society are taught to think that without an excessive amount of material things, they are worthless people. It does not matter how much wealth or money a person has, these factors are not actually related to the state of poverty consciousness. Many people have an abundance of material things and yet they feel deep anxiety pushing them to accumulate even more material things. Poverty consciousness is a fear based state, it is a trauma based disease that exists inside the minds of the spiritually bankrupt, not the financially bankrupt. Many of the people with tremendous material wealth exist in states of poverty consciousness and chronic unhappiness, unable to cope with the pressure of maintaining their class position…
Once again at the top levels, it is not human and much of the earthly resources still left are funneled off planet. For thousands of years planet earth has been quarried and leached for every kind of resource, mineral substance and chemical element known and yet to be discovered, by both human and alien mining sources and their machinery. Some of the massive desert wastelands and canyons thought to be natural and declared as national monuments and protected reserves, are actually the result of ancient mining quarries digging up the earth, now deserted. Even today there are dark money groups lobbying to overturn the Antiquities Act to get back into the Grand Canyon to mine for uranium, just as the aliens did in the past.
Today the ability to multiply money and profits to steadily increase wealth is highest for those people in the financial sectors that run and rule the economy through the corporatocracy and who use whatever means necessary to maintain total control over liquidity and unlimited access to the global money supply. These small groups of people have access to unbelievably large amounts of cash, or liquid assets, and they are purposely programmed by the Orion Group control structure to monetize human suffering and pain, by forcing the majority of the world citizens to live in poverty and pay for their own genocidal holocaust. Deceptive propaganda, intimidation and terrorism are the important tools used to push the global debt slavery program, which requires the participation of broad sectors of the corporatocracy, banking and the world population in order to be successful. Perpetrators must hide their murderous intentions from the victims they intend to decimate. They generally become involved with creating inhumane laws veiled from public scrutiny, that allow for their criminal behaviors without obvious detection.
Poverty Consciousness Produces Worthlessness
The perpetrators use poverty consciousness fears to trigger feelings of worthlessness in the human race in order to get people to acquiesce and be complicit in committing genocide against their own species and planet. If humans only find worth in money and materialism, they have no value placed on the human soul or life, thus genocide of certain groups is made acceptable. Poverty consciousness is a state of fear that is produced by belief systems and attitudes that form into value systems that promote materialism. It is the twisted association of value woven into thoughts and feelings one has toward money or material possessions. Poverty consciousness has nothing to do with the amount of money, physical comfort or material possessions a person has. Poverty consciousness is deeply rooted in fears of victimization, survival, insecurity, and limitation, as well as fears of death that include fears about our relationship to God and the Universe…
Materialistic values powering up consumer cultures glorify and breed narcissistic personalities that have little to no empathy for other people. People that are materialistic tend to equate their value, worth and esteem on their accumulated wealth, status and possessions. Hence, they will also constantly measure others on a similar class scale in order to equate other people as lesser than or greater than themselves, dependent on how much external wealth or power that person has. Materialism is used to maintain class systems of control and the hierarchical structure of power that is based on who has all the money, power or perceived value. People that are materialistic tend to have highly ambitious, competitive, arrogant, and aggressive behaviors and are deeply concerned with issues of personal adequacy. Thus, they will compromise ethical and humane behavior in order to accumulate the wealth and possessions they want, in order to feel more powerful. That is the big set up on the earth, a person that highly desires wealth and external validation of self-worth, will have to play with the power brokers in the NAA game in order to get it. This means they must make the deal or Faustian pact to give up personal sovereignty and many times prostitute themselves, because of who is really controlling the financial structure…As a race of people that are purposely hypnotized by survival and poverty consciousness, we look to those assigned with authority and with the supposed expertise to protect us, when in the larger scheme they are actually a part of the structure that want to kill us off. The medical system does not want us healthy and well, they profit when we’re sick. The educational system does not want us to know our real history, or how to think independently, as their grants come from maintaining the NAA rolled out version of the past. The banking system does not want us to be out of debt or interest obligation, as we can be easily controlled when we are drowning in debt. The media and press do not want to actually pursue journalistic truth, but instead report news as sponsored consumer advertisement spots. Religion doesn’t want us talking to God without an intermediary and provides a long list of do’s and don’ts because we could shame ourselves and go to hell. The point is the masses are not told the truth in any way, shape or form. We endure complex webs of gaslighting to invalidate our inner guidance and interfere with what our heart based intuition tells us…
The Power Elite own the world’s largest banks and are also the shareholders that own the Federal Reserve, which funnels wealth from the working population to the government and then back to the banking sector at a large profit. The Federal Reserve is not a federal agency or related to the central government, as it has corporate stockholders that receive dividends. The Federal Reserve is a private corporation with owners. This is a fraudulent system that causes great disparity between the rich and the working class, it is a form of currency enslavement used to steal the prosperity away from the people. The debt based currency system empowers and benefits those who created legalized theft in the guise of an economic system. A system designed to transfer all of the purchasing power to the banks and the government, while leaving the working people with the burdens of debt. The purpose is to confiscate the accumulative wealth of the people and communities, and funnel it back to those in centralizing power, during cycles of controlled economic depression. This is when the bankers take their cut of the cash supply and take ownership and control over many different companies and assets that are forced into short sale. It is the local communities that suffer when resources are sucked out of neighborhoods and back into the centralized power system of a few massive corporate conglomerates.
We are the greatest threat to the survival of this corrupt monetary system and an informed and aware public is what can dismantle this fraudulent system, when we know how it works. This system relies on the fact that most people do not understand how our monetary system works. However, we also must understand the people behind this fraudulent system are using black magic principles to keep the currency circulating in power. The black magic system driving the currency is backed up by the NAA who want to keep the human race bound as indentured servants and slaves by any means necessary.
Black Magic Money
Most people are not aware that the US dollar and the paper it’s printed on, is printed with hidden esoteric symbols that energetically connect into the 4D and 11D Stargate, and the ancient Egyptian timelines from the point of the alien invasion 5,500 years ago. This is to pay homage to theLuciferian Belial Suns, claiming them in the monetary system as the progenitors or owners of the human race. It signifies the prophecy or promise that at the end of the time cycle, they will return to earth to reclaim their subjects to take them to another planet. The 11D Stargate is in the United Kingdom and is where the centralized global financial control exists, hence its relevance connecting to the meaning coded into paper money.
Many of the symbols that are printed on several versions of currency are credited to be masonic symbols, and that is also correct. However, the Masonic Lodges combined many of these symbols and the magical formulas from the later Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO) teachings of Aleister Crowley. The paper money printed for one dollar currency is a unit of magical energy that in effect is animated into a magical talisman. Among the world currencies the American dollar was set up to dominate the world market financially, by activating the units of magical energy that were set up and organized by those intending to dominate the global wealth via magical connections made with the Thothian grids, or Black Magic Grids. That information was collated into an organized black magic system at the turn of the century by Aleister Crowley. According to remote session intelligence collected and Guardian mentorship, Aleister Crowley is a key figure in cooperating with the NAA, starting from Grey Alien contact with an entity called Aiwass made in Cairo, Egypt in April 1904.
In the USA new designs for the banknotes began in 1996 all of which went into cirulation in 2003. Beside the esoteric symbols that Lisa refers to there a deadly accurate prediction of the future in the US currency.

Aleister Crowley Betrayed the Entire World
Thus, Crowley was used to install and help run a series of portals and grid networks that allowed the Draco to get access into the planetary field and this system of collective consciousness black magic grids, is what has been controlling the United States money supply since 1912. The members of the Federal Reserve Board and those running the black magic money system are essentially sorcerers. They have set up legal ways to conjure wealth out of nothing and decide how to distribute it at will, to control the global economy according to their desires. Over time the reversals in the money supply accumulated into increasing chaotic and negative patterns that activated Egyptian Money Curses. Many of us have seen what intense greed and love of money can do to a person, as they turn into a shadow creature. The manipulation of black magic in the money supply and conjuring the world of forces for Service to Self purposes without regard for the consent or consequence on others, was designed to increase world slavery and bring in the anti-Christ forces. Thus at the higher games of power and control required to accumulate massive wealth, it’s easy to getpossessed by these dark forces and then perform a necessary role that helps the NAA serve their genocidal agendas.
Money Curses
Every time we touch money or exchange money we have been dealing with Egyptian Curses and anti-human Black Magic, that is designed as a consciousness trap in materialism. We have been born into a debt based structure that has been enslaved by something ancient that has been hidden from everybody, yet is everywhere, and we can’t get away from it, because it interwoven into all the pillars of society. Currently humans do not have many alternatives in fully detaching ourselves from the necessity of paying for our basic human needs, so the first step in empowering ourselves is to understand exactly what this debt based currency is designed for and refuse to be in consent with its origins.
The Egyptian overlays that represent the full scale alien invasion that began humanities false written history is encoded into the value of the debt currency. It is embedded in the stock market, running the banking system, and entangled in everything that we have to pay for, rent, bills, all of the obligation of debt that directs us energetically into the exact point of our enslavement that began with an Egyptian Curse. The primary energy force that is harvested from human beings to maintain power in these small groups of Power Elite behind the main governing financial structures, are drawing upon a regular source of magical power from the NAA invasion and Egyptian timelines. By doing that they circulate more karmic exhaust and more black magic curse, the more people feed into the monetary enslavement structure.
Final Thoughts about Lisa Renee
I’m have been a member of the Energetic Synthesis Community for a few months now. The monthly membership fee is only $22 and I have access to many guided meditations, the community forum, and posts she has written. Some of her posts like the ones on informed consent or poverty consciousness, the frequency of fear or human trafficking make total sense to me.
As does this excerpt from the post, “Sourcing Dark Interference, Metatronics & Fear.”
Many entities and humans are being forced to change their belief systems and reality bubbles now, and many people are really unhappy about this ego dismantling and thus, may need to create excuses, enemy patterning or fabricate some version of reality that validates the egos need to remain in control the environment.
The negative ego will fall into superior or inferior thoughtforms and direct them to people, places and things, many times creating an “us vs. them” or “good and bad”.
Other posts about the Paladorian Dragon Kings, Diamond Sun Matrix, Oraphim, Sophianic Female Coding, Gold Body Activation, Solar Rishi, Metatronic Reversal or Anubian Black Hearts make no sense at all to me. I’m currently doing an Ascension Meditation from January 2017 that addresses the causal timeline of seed fears and slavery and poverty consciousness. It clears the effects of the core fear caused by the alien invasion of our planet thousands of years ago. It is very comprehensive for it also clears demons, entities, nanobots, AI bots, genetic tampering, heavy metals, chemtrial toxins and pathogens, alien implants, and an unholy host of other attachments and devices that were created to keep us in a lower state of consciousness and to accept slavery. This is not the way God wanted the earth to be. This planet is the only one in the galaxy where people have to pay to live. I was able to download this meditation so even if I cease to be a member of ES I’ll still have access to it.
Lisa Renee has a blind spot.
She has written that one of her heroes is John Lennon. On her members’ site, she has a variety of guitars as badges for people at different levels of membership. She writes this about her husband, Tomas, “Tomás is a musician, guitars and the Beatles music is inside his heart and soul, it is all he can remember from age 2 or 3. He loved the Beatles music as a toddler, and as a teenager, it gave him spiritual solace in very dark times…Thus, the Guitars are with us in every recording and meditation session. They speak to him when he plays, and he gets insights into things he must do, they are filled with love, heart, and the beauty and pleasure of music.
I have found his background music in the meditations to be peaceful and uplifting. However, if he has the Beatles music inside his heart and soul he better get it out for it links him to satanic demons. In the book, Tavistock Institute: Social Engineering the Masses by Daniel Estulin he writes,
The undeclared cultural war against America’s youth began in earnest in 1967 when Tavistock began using open-air rock concerts to attract over four-million young people to the so-called “festivals.” Unbeknownst, the youth became the victims of planned, wide-scale drug experimentation. Hallucinogenic drugs such as dimethoxyphenylethylamine (STP), phencyclidine (PCP), dextromethorphan, methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), dimethyltryptamine (DMT), and the Beatles-promoted LSD and Blue Micro Dot LSD-25 were freely distributed at these concerts. Before long, over 50 million of these attendees between the ages 10 to 25 years old returned home to become the messengers and promoters of the new drug culture, or what came to be called the “New Age.” Hallucinogenic drugs are psychomimetic, meaning that they mimic certain aspects of psychosis. Through the use of hallucinogenic drugs, one can induce temporary symptoms of psychosis and schizophrenia. Most users of hallucinogenic drugs at the time experienced whole personality changes causing total alterations of the senses. The intention of the LSD drug scene and the controlled environment it represented wasn’t accidental, but completely intentional.
The Tavistock Institute had extensively studied the relationship between the brain and behavior caused by hallucinogenic drugs. “Later on, the knowledge gleaned from the research was channeled into marketing MTV and radio stations through ‘classic oldies’ songs from 15 to 25 years ago, which are targeted at the adult population.” Several Tavistock studies showed that a song or piece of music associated with one’s childhood, when heard later in life, could call forth memories and associations of that earlier period. Encoded memories of popular music in the listener were recalled when he or she heard the same piece of music. These memories triggered an emotional drug flashback that set off an infantile emotional state that brought the listener back to that time, in which he or she experienced either an identical or one mirroring the drug reaction itself.
Mrs.Prophet has said that the syncopated beat of rock music causes the kundalini to fall to the lower energy centers which damage the fine pranic channels and releases energy into the body. This sensation is pleasurable and therefore addictive. This damage limits the amount of energy that can travel upward to open the chakras. The energy that flows to the lower chakras causes an increase in sexual desire and promiscuity then unwanted pregnancies and abortions.

More evidence of the destructive nature of rock and roll comes from a video made by John Todd, former manager of Zodiac Productions who says, a group of thirteen witches conjures demons into the master copy of a song so that a demon accompanies each recording that is purchased or downloaded. Rock music which is written in witch language is designed to place a spell on the listener.

Lisa Renee appears to have extensive spiritual knowledge and has had contact with many beings from higher dimensions so how can she be unaware of the intentional negative effects of rock music is a mystery to me. But it does affirm my position that no one should not be enamored with or completely believe in one “teacher” for they all have blind spots and gaps in their wisdom and someone who has been a reliable source of information for years may go off the rails and start to broadcast falsehoods.

The concept of “wealth hoarding” has gained traction in the wake of the Occupy movement and the Bernie Sanders presidential campaigns, the idea being that billionaires are amassing treasure like mythical dragons in the same way someone with a hoarding disorder amasses newspapers or clothes.
It’s an understandable way of looking at the problem. The capitalist class is indeed grabbing up a greater and greater percentage of the wealth that’s being generated by the working class, and it just doesn’t make sense that someone would need billions of dollars when you can only drive one car at a time, wear one pair of pants at a time, eat one meal at a time, etc.
For normal people, the idea of wealth is associated with security, so once your family’s needs are met and their future is secure it’s hard to understand the impulse to keep amassing wealth far beyond that point without it being driven by some kind of compulsive neurosis. The fact that they pour so much money and energy into manipulating political systems to ensure they aren’t forced by taxation to share more of their wealth with the public makes them look even more like compulsive hoarders.
But this notion of vast wealth as a hoarding behavior misses the mark. And no, it isn’t because billionaires are awesome beneficent job creators whose wealth is being used by banks to grant people loans for homes and businesses and making the world a wonderful place to live.
It doesn’t work to think of the very rich as wealth hoarders because what they are doing has very little in common with the behavior of a compulsive hoarder. A compulsive hoarder gains nothing from their behavior, which generally ends up being self-destructive and socially alienating. It costs them everything, and gives them nothing. Their behavior is born of neurosis, and is entirely irrational.
The so-called wealth hoarders are not amassing wealth at the expense of others out of neurosis, and the motives driving their behavior are perfectly rational. They’re just a lot more depraved and a lot more uncomfortable to think about.
The ruling class continually extracts wealth from the public not so that they can become wealthier than they already are, but to keep the public from having that wealth. They’re not worried that they’ll be unable to support their needs in the future if they don’t extract another billion dollars, they just understand that the wealthier everyone else gets, the less their own wealth matters. They’re not wealth-hoarding, they’re wealth-obstructing.
Wealth is a zero-sum game, as is its good friend power. The more power everyone else has, the less power our current rulers would have over us. This is why so much energy goes into ensuring that votes have as little effect as possible on the operations of the state and making sure everything stays the same no matter what the public wants.
Imagine if ordinary people started having as much influence over the direction human civilization will take as war profiteers, oil tycoons, globalized wage slavers and Silicon Valley plutocrats. Imagine if the working class had enough disposable income to begin funding grassroots political campaigns, building their own media networks, or even funding think tanks and NGOs to advance their own interests like plutocrats do today. Imagine if everyone could afford to work less and relax more, and finally start learning about what’s really going on in the world.
Wealth is meaningless if everyone is wealthy. Power is meaningless if everyone has power. The kings of our day have a vested interest in keeping everyone poor and powerless, because if everyone is king, then no one is king.
This is why our status quo systems work the way they work, and this is why you see a convergence of interests from such groups as corporate plutocrats, plutocrat-owned politicians and media, the arms industry, and military and intelligence agencies. These groups all have a vested interest in preserving the status quo and the ability to put that agenda in place, so they’ve fallen into a natural, de facto alliance with each other toward that end.
It’s why we’ve seen a historic upward transfer of wealth during the Covid pandemic, with billionaires raking in trillions while ordinary people struggle with unemployment and soaring prices. And it’s why that transfer of wealth has been happening for decades since long before Covid. In a system where money is power and power is relative, a ruling class naturally emerges which needs to suppress the wealth and power of its subjects in order to continue to rule.
Rulers do not historically give up their rule voluntarily, so we can expect this continual pattern of wealth obstruction via wealth extraction to continue until people get tired of being kept poor and powerless by those who benefit from their poverty and disempowerment and use the strength of their numbers to force the emergence of a more equitable system. We can also expect our rulers to do everything in their power to prevent this from happening, including propagandizing the public into accepting the status quo and believing that anything better is impossible.
Drastic change in the not-too-distant future does seem to be inevitable, though, if only because we’re headed toward environmental collapse or nuclear winter if we don’t rise to the revolutionary occasion first. Humanity’s self-destructive patterning is in a race with our better angels, and right now it’s anybody’s race.
